Located south of the Alps in Switzerland, at a point where diverse linguistic and cultural traditions come together, Lugano is the ideal environment for the MAS HLM Program. The city offers MAS HLM participants time away from their work environment to concentrate fully on their studies, while MAS HLM state-of-the art academic facility makes it possible for them to work in parallel to their studies.
Lugano’s location, climate and slower pace of life are also conducive to the development of a network of professional and personal relationships over the course of the 18-month program. It is not unusual to find classmates gathering for evening study sessions, sports and social activities.
Although MAS HLM classes are conducted in English, participants will find themselves surrounded by cultural diversity in Lugano, the most international city in the Swiss canton of Ticino, where Italian is the official language.
The canton’s Mediterranean climate, palmetto trees and abundant flora lend a tropical feel to the region in spring and summer, with skiing, snowboarding and local festivals occurring in the vicinity when the weather turns cooler. Concerts, art exhibitions and other cultural opportunities abound all year round.
